Who is This Guy?

You should know a little more about me.

Here’s how my residential homeowners hear about me

Here’s a brief history on me. I’ve been a licensed contractor since I was 18. I was handy with tools and my price was cheap so I kept pretty busy in the neighborhood. I started painting houses at fifteen. I was a carpenters apprentice in the union for a couple of years. The rest has been self employment.

I was so cheap that I probably worked for free and didn’t know it.
For many years I struggled financially.

I was broke. I was in debt up to my ass on at least a half dozen credit cards. I refused bankruptcy but it was banging on the door.

And then I got really smart. Being self employed, not knowing how to get steady work, I got married. Wait it gets better. I had my first son at 25. A kid raising a kid. I’m a freakin’ genius. How long do you think that marriage lasted? Good answer. A poor business equals a poor life.

Chasing bills, behind on taxes, paying the last project’s materials with the new projects first payment, working weekends... for years I worked every Labor Day and Memorial Day.

I didn’t have a buck in the bank to go on vacation so I said to myself “why not work maybe I can get ahead.”

It was utterly embarrassing how poorly I provided for my family.

I did great work. I worked my tail off. The homeowners were pleased.

So why did I have to continually have to lower my price to get work.

For years I thought it was all about being price competitive. Silly me.

Scratch that stupid me!

I thought like this for years and years. What a waste of time! What a waste of my life. It cost me thousands. Stumbling and bumbling from one project to another.

Being “king of the low bidders” is nothing to be proud of.

I was sick and tired of that feeling in the pit of my stomach, total financial frustration?

So…

What do you think?

The one thing I did do properly was…

…I never gave up wanting better or learning!

I wanted a kick-ass business that I could be proud of. A business that people admired and made me good money!

I spent thousand on self help, business improvement and marketing material.

You see, just because I was a good contractor full of talent and all the right tools, didn’t mean homeowners were beating a path to my door.

I had to figure that out on my own.

“I’ve been in business for years, I’ve never had this kind of reaction on my estimates with customers.”

This isn’t rocket science. What you’ll learn to present to homeowners is brilliantly simple and you will see the reaction from your homeowners.

Attracting customers is a completely separate specialized set of skills.

If you are interested, I want you to have business changing information. NOW!

If you’re sick and tired of the financial frustration, I can help.

Let me tell you where I am now…

My contracting business is flourishing (even in this economy). If I didn’t hear the news on the radio I would have no idea the economy is as bad as it is.

I am also a partner in a window replacement company with a dozen or so employees. I just collect my monthly check from this business. Love it.

Family… My son Edward is graduating college. All paid off. My other son Aaron is half way through… he has money in the bank for his college. Wait one more… Thank god I got a girl. Another boy would have put me over the top. Samantha my high schooler has four years of college money in the bank.

Did I mention divorce #2. With the first one we were just too young. Still good friends. The second one, after 15 years, I could write a movie with those surprises! Let’s have lunch… I’ll buy… WoW! I digress…..

But actually there is a point here. As devastating as divorce #2 was to me personally, my business was so solid I didn’t miss a beat. Homeowners had no idea what a personal disaster I was going through… they just kept calling and signing contracts.

The side benefits of a rock solid business… It can carry you through the roller coaster of life.

Let’s continue… I have one credit card with a couple hundred bucks on it.

I have cash in the bank. All bills are current. All taxes current.

And this financial base gave me the time to package these sales tools for you.

With Sales Tools for Contractors you can learn how to market yourself, promote your business and generate an ongoing stream of lucrative residential projects at the rate you want.

So…

What do you think?
